Starting Over (Again)

Our time in San Diego; the land of sunshine, great tacos, and the place we have called home for nearly six years, has come to an end. It comes with a variety of mixed feelings. If you ask my husband, it entirely depends on the moment for me. One minute, I’m squealing with joy at the prospect of high quality food, French pharmacies (IYKYK), and the dream of a provincial house with a garden. The next, I’m sobbing at the idea of starting over.

A new country means leaving our first home together, the friendships we have built and nourished for years, and the habits we have constructed as a young married couple in Southern California.

But a job opportunity, a little bit of reflection, and a lot of pre-departure planning has made this move possible.

Follow my next big adventure as an expat (again) here and see what life as an American in the South of France is really like.
